CBR gets rare disease study under way

Through the efforts of CBR, a multi-centre study of Opsoclonus Myoclonus Syndrome (OMS, also known as Dancing Eye Syndrome, DES) is set to be launched. CBR successfully obtained grant funding to support the study, and was instrumental in getting research ethics and clinical trial approval.

The study, led by Dr Mike Pike of John Radcliffe Hospital Oxford and Dr Ming Lim of Evelina London Children’s Hospital, and involving 20+ paediatric neurology centres across the UK, will provide important insights into patient progress in relation to early symptoms and a step-wise programme of combination drug therapy.
