Child Brain Research Trustee Dr. Rob Forsyth has taken up the challenge of cycling from Newcastle to Southampton for Child Brain Research.
Rob is a doctor researching and treating brain diseases in children, particularly the rehabilitation of children who have had brain injuries such as strokes, brain tumours, infections or accidents. Every day on the ward he is reminded of how much there is still to know about how to get the best outcomes for these children.
This August Rob is cycling over four or five days from where I live and work on Tyneside to just outside Southampton. Although he enjoys cycling, this will be the longest ride he has ever done!
You can support Rob in his efforts by visiting his JustGiving page at: https://www.justgiving.com/Rob-Forsyth

It was lovely to catch up with Dr Rob in Northallerton today, when he passed through on his way from Newcastle to Southampton. – Good luck on the rest of the journey.
